Mary Marietta Montessori School
Mary Marietta Montessori School was founded over a decade ago by Maud Tiwaa Yabe, a devoted mother of five who envisioned a nurturing space where working parents could entrust their children for quality, personalized education—and peace of mind.
As a businesswoman herself, Maud understood the struggles many families in the New Gbawe–Mallam area faced in finding a school that truly met their children’s academic, social, and health needs. Guided by her passion to serve the community and raise morally grounded, intellectually curious learners, she opened her home and assembled a dedicated team of early childhood educators to bring her dream to life.
We provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment that supports effective learning. Our facilities are designed to promote comfort, focus, and creativity. Beyond infrastructure, our greatest strength lies in our people—qualified educators who are passionate about child development and committed to excellence.
Our founder’s early childhood education training in Richmond, Toronto, Canada significantly influenced the school’s structure, classroom management, and instructional design. This international exposure contributes to our forward-thinking and globally aware educational approach.
We view parents as partners in the educational journey. Open communication, transparency, and collaboration are central to our operational model. We provide consistent feedback on academic progress and behavioral development, ensuring that parents remain fully informed and engaged.

What began as a small, home-based initiative has since flourished into a thriving institution with modern facilities that now serve learners of all ages. Drawing on her early childhood education training in Richmond, Toronto, Canada, Maud designed a unique model that blends the Montessori philosophy with the Ghana Education Service (GES) curriculum—creating an effective and dynamic learning experience that nurtures both character and intellect.
Blending the Montessori philosophy with the Ghana Education Service (GES) curriculum, we offer a well-rounded education that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and character. From Pre-K through 9th grade (Crèche to JHS 3), we are committed to raising morally grounded and intellectually balanced learners equipped to excel in an ever-changing world. Mary Marietta Montessori School is a GES-certified educational institution located in the Ga South Municipality of Accra, Ghana.
